The inquisitiveness of the students was
soaring high on Saturday 06-August-2016 as the first ever industry oriented
session for data sciences was organised. The session started with the speaker’s
extensive emphasis on the digital footprint. Widening of data as more customers
are a part of the more robust technological network ranging from IoT(Internet of Things) among others.
The session then steered to the core aspects of data science in an
organisation-the overall ability to deduce wisdom from data. After that it spoke about data lakes-excess data (esp. unstructured) and allied
spaces. Finally the lecture took off with a focus towards transforming business
problems into an existing one. Post the general lecture a Q&A session was organised
wherein the students of DS asked the doubts pertaining to the DS market and
other future endeavours.
